Messe Frankfurt against Copying

Protection against brand and product piracy.
In 2006, Messe Frankfurt became the first trade fair organiser worldwide to launch an initiative against brand and product piracy: “Messe Frankfurt against Copying”. This initiative aims to ensure that exhibitors and visitors are fully informed about the registration and assertion of intellectual property rights.

Messe Frankfurt is caring for the intellectual property of its Exhibitors.

For this reason, Messe Frankfurt has engaged Meyer-Reumann & Partners (M&P) to be available at the Exhibition. If any of them faces intellectual property problems, M&P will be available onsite during Intersec.

During the previous Exhibitions, we found quite a number of IP-violations. However, most of the owners of the intellectual property rights (IPR) were not able to protect their rights as they need a legalized Power of Attorney (which takes time) and unless they have registered their rights in the U.A.E.

Hence, all Exhibiters are kindly requested to do their homework or to instruct their IP-attorney to do so, to be ready at the Exhibition to fight infringement, if any.

M&P created a Portal to support the preparations. The Portal contains all IPR information for the U.A.E. including all laws and useful articles about the IP and the required documents of the protection and/or registration of the IPR, etc..

The M&P-IP-Portal does not only contain information but it can be used for legal actions well (quickly and efficiently). For confidential areas in the portal you need a password, which Messe Frankfurt has provided you, when you booked your stand. Have a look at the M&P-IP-Portal

Important Exhibitor Warning

To protect the privacy of our stakeholder Messe Frankfurt Middle East GmbH does not sell attendee or exhibitor list data for any of our events. Email solicitations from 3rd parties claiming to offer access to names/contacts of the “attendee database” are completely fraudulent, and are in no way associated with Messe Frankfurt Middle East GmbH.

Be advised that if you receive an email from any company indicating that they are in possession of attendee lists for any of our events then this is fraudulent information as they do not have access to our lists, nor do they have permission to use our brands to sell any such lists. We suggest that you ignore them and report it to your local trading standards agency.
