The system works by assigning virtual accounts to individuals or vehicles, which can be loaded directly through the Sigur interface. Payments are automatically debited as users pass through checkpoints, such as entrances to canteens or parking lots. If the account balance is insufficient, access is denied.

Key features include customizable payment rules, integration with third-party systems (such as health club management software) and flexible identification methods such as contactless cards, biometrics and license plate recognition.
