The silver jubilee edition of Intersec 2024 is held under the theme ‘Innovating security tech for a quarter century’
With over 1,000 exhibitors, a 20% increase from 2023, the event highlights the central role of security and fire safety technology in the MENA region
More than 45,000 visitors are expected to explore key topics over three days, including sustainable security, cyber security intelligence and workplace wellness and safety
Dubai, UAE: Intersec 2024, the world's leading trade fair for safety, security, and fire protection, was officially opened today by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Border Security Council. Marking its 25th anniversary, Intersec 2024 will take place until 18 January 2024 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) under the theme ‘Innovating security tech for a quarter century’.
Spanning 13 halls, Intersec 2024 anticipates its largest edition yet in its quarter-century history. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the event welcomes 1,050 exhibitors from 60+ nations, a 20% increase from 2023, highlighting its importance as a crucial networking hub, uniting industry leaders and showcasing cutting-edge technology in Dubai.
During the prestigious opening tour of Intersec 2024, His Highness visited several exhibition stands, including Microlink, SIRA, Axis Communications, Motorolla, Genetec, Corodex and NAFFCO, to name a few. Furthermore, he visited the German Pavilion.

The Intersec 2024 conference programmes commenced this morning as the exclusive Security Leaders' Summit (ISLS) explored trends in sustainable security and combatting environmental crimes. Meanwhile, the Cyber Security Conference, hosted by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, opened with a keynote speech on elevating national security through cybersecurity intelligence. The Safety & Health Conference began with an update on the UAE Standard for Occupational Health and Safety Governance and Leadership. At the same time, the Fire & Rescue Conference hosted panel discussions on revolutionising fire prevention with data analytics & technology and advancing safety in energy storage.
Elsewhere at Intersec 2024 today, forced-entry specialists, including Frontier Pitts, A1 Fencing, ABUS and NAFFCO, demonstrated the capabilities and effectiveness of a wide range of physical security products in real-time at the Live Attack Zone, in partnership with the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB).
Global cybersecurity vendors, including Amstergi, Seagate and Zycoo, converged at the in{:cyber} pavilion to showcase the cutting-edge innovations and the latest products that are reshaping the landscape of digital defence. Also at the in{:cyber} pavilion today, participants exhibited their expertise across diverse cybersecurity domains at the Hack Arena, while Day 1 at the Innovators Arena focused on the role of startups in cyber and national security.
The 25th edition of Intersec will encompass five broad product sections: Commercial & Perimeter Security, Homeland Security & Policing, Fire & Rescue, Safety & Health, and Cyber Security, offering tailored solutions for each industry segment under one roof.
Intersec 2024 continues on 17 and 18 January at Halls 1-8, Saeed Arena, Saeed 1-3 & Pavilion at DWTC.
