The kiosk integrates a Regula 7028M.111 document reader, which uses white, UV, IR, and coaxial white light sources, to capture various document types (passports, visas, ID cards). It also reads contactless microchips and includes a fingerprint scanner for biometric identification. The system performs document authenticity checks (including MRZ reading and OCR) and verifies data from contactless chips, completing the reading and automated verification process in just 10 seconds, enhancing both speed and security at border control points.
