Capture the flag

Flex your muscles in a variety of challenges covering cryptography, reverse-engineering, web security, and server exploitation.
Cryptography Challenges- Seize the opportunity to decode messages that have been encrypted using various methods, such as substitution ciphers or more advanced techniques. Reverse-engineering Challenges- Get a chance to analyze software to uncover hidden features, vulnerabilities or find ways to bypass security measures. Web Security Challenges- You'll be tasked with finding and exploiting vulnerabilities in web applications. Server Exploitation Challenges- You'll be tasked with finding and exploiting vulnerabilities in servers or server-based systems.
Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started in the world of cybersecurity, at Intersec 2023 the ‘Capture the Flag’ competition was hosted for two days for everyone. In this competition, you can test your skills and learn new ones in a fun and engaging environment with challenges ranging from beginner to advanced.
Cyber Drills

The Cyber Drills at Intersec 2023
Cyber Drills aim to enhance your technical cyber security knowledge and skills through tailored cyber simulation exercises, and to enable you to detect and respond to cyber security incidents.
You will have a unique opportunity to experience the Cyberbit platform: the world’s leading cyber range, that will be used to create an advanced simulation arena for the competition and a great way to connect with other professionals and a chance to become part of the Top Performing Group.
The competition was a physical competition and was hosted for three days during the Intersec conference with each team choosing a single date to compete. The competition was between teams of three-eight, intended for members of cyber defense teams including SOC teams, incident response teams, CSIRT teams etc. and was crowned the best cyber defense team in the region.
The teams were immersed in the cyber range and presented with a live network, where it was a fully simulated cyberattack. The team was provided with commercial security tools to investigate and respond to the attack, including a SIEM, Firewall and more.
Teams scored based on achieving investigation, response and remediation goals, as well as mean time to respond (MTTR).
