Cyber Crisis Preparedness & Management in the Financial Sector

The tabletop exercise will be a role-playing simulation of a cyber-attack targeting a financial institution. The participants will be divided into teams representing different departments of the financial institution, as well as national and sectoral CIRTs. The facilitator will present a scenario of the cyber-attack, and the participants will work together to respond to the attack. The exercise will be designed to test the participants' ability to:
- Identify and assess the threat
- Activate the incident response plan
- Communicate effectively with each other and with external stakeholders
- Make timely and informed decisions
- Recover from the attack
Objectives
The tabletop exercise will provide the participants with the opportunity to:
- Learn about the different roles and responsibilities involved in crisis management of cyber attacks
- Practice their skills in responding to cyber attacks
- Identify areas where their organization can improve its cyber security posture
- Build relationships with other stakeholders involved in cyber security
Target audience
The target audience for the tabletop exercise includes:
- Representatives from the financial institution
- Representatives from national and sectoral CIRTs
- Representatives from other relevant organizations, such as law enforcement, regulators, and insurance companies
Prerequisites :
Participants to bring their own device (laptop) for active participation
